Liverpool vs Sporting TV channel: What channel is pre-season friendly on?
Liverpool continue their preparations for the new campaign with a clash against Sporting Lisbon in New York. The Reds haven’t enjoyed the greatest of pre-seasons, losing the first two games of their American tour.Jurgen Klopp’s former club Borussia Dortmund handed the Champions League winners a 3-2 defeat before Sevilla claimed a 2-1 win.Liverpool will be hoping to round off their US trip with a win over the Portuguese outfit before heading to Scotland for the next leg of their tour.
Klopp is still waiting to hear whether new signing Sepp van den Berg can make his debut against Sporting. The 17-year-old Dutchman joined Liverpool from PEC Zwolle in June but has been unable to feature in any pre-season games as the club await international clearance from FIFA.Asked about Van den Berg’s hopes of first team football, Klopp said: “It depends. I open the door but the boys have to go through still.“He is a wonderful player as well, but because of FIFA rules he is not available in the moment, but we have other good players.“He thought his future should be here and I thought the same, so now he is here and now let’s work together.
“He is 17 years old and when you see him you forget that constantly, but he is 17 and so there is a lot to learn.“The good thing is he has the most time to do so, so everything will be fine.”Liverpool vs Sporting TV channel - how to watchLiverpool vs Sporting kicks off at 1.05am (BST) on Thursday morning.Fans can watch the match live on LFCTV, which costs £7 per month. The channel can be found on Sky (425) and Virgin (544).The friendly fixtures takes place at the Yankee Stadium, home of MLB team the New York Yankees.
