Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham has shown what he can do at the top level with his impressive form so far this season. That’s the verdict of Blues boss Frank Lampard.Chelsea star Abraham has been on fire so far this campaign, with eight goals from nine league games. The 22-year-old is thriving in his first full season in the Premier League with the Blues, having spent the last three seasons out on loan.

And Lampard heaped praise on the youngster for the way he has adapted to life in the first team.Abraham has spearheaded a young Chelsea team brilliantly so far this campaign, and hinted he will only improve from here on.“Yes, I think he can [keep progressing]," Lampard said."He is a sponge. He wants to listen, he wants to get better, he wants to improve his game, he wants to score more goals, he wants to help his team-mates.

“And so he has got a beautiful base of that in terms of coaching.“His goals and performances will show what he can do at this level. Hopefully, we can move him up the levels even more."He has been scoring goals regularly but today was not quite the norm. What you see with Tammy is what you get: physicality and movement. To keep trying and be a problem for the defenders."Giroud has voiced his displeasure so far this season at his lack of playing time, and has admitted he will seek a January transfer in order to get first-team football.

But Lampard seemingly has no plans to let the Frenchman leave, as he complimented both Giroud and Batshuayi for their patience.“I have got nice problems up front," he continued."We have got Giroud and Batshauyi. I have to give them both credit because they are showing great professionalism.“They are training at a level. They will get their chances as well because it is a long season.“At the moment, Tammy with his regular goals has been a big part of getting us to where we have got to."
