Murray shocked the tennis world when he claimed he may have finished playing at the Australian Open earlier this year. The Scot fell to a brutal five-set defeat in his opening clash against Roberto Bautista Agut before emotionally discussing the end of his career.Chronic pain in his hip caused an array of problems not just on the court, but also in everyday life.Murray underwent surgery and had his hip replaced with a metal replica and so far it has proved a success.

And he has gradually begun working towards a comeback. The former world No 1 is attempting to ease himself back onto the ATP tour and he is playing doubles alongside Feliciano Lopez at Queen's Club this week. The pair have been handed a gruelling draw as they take on No 1 seeds Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in the opening match. And they would need to get through the opening two rounds to stand a chance of facing Jamie Murray and Neal Skupski in a potential semi-final.

Tournament organisers have given Murray and Lopez an extra two days to get used to each other's game style. They will not kick-start their grass campaign until Wednesday, although a specific time slot has yet to be decided.Murray will also compete in the doubles draw at Wimbledon next month. However, he has yet to choose a team-mate for his home Grand Slam.

The 32-year-old is just looking forward to getting back out on the court, despite the uncertainty of his future in the game."I can't tell you how I'm going to feel when I get back out on the court," he said."I didn't expect to be in this position. The operation has been brilliant and completely life-changing for me."From where I was I am looking forward to getting back out there."But I don't know what to expect and I'm not putting any expectations on myself because just being out on the tennis court again and being comfortable and pain-free is enough."
